Cultural Arts Series – Central Lakes College
The Brainerd Minnesota Cultural Arts Series is the performing arts series at Central Lakes College. It is the goal of the Series to bring to Brainerd stages professional artists of national and international reputation. A wide variety of quality artists from the worlds of theatre, music, dance, film, and literature are presented by the Series at affordable prices. Series producer Patrick Spradlin says "There are some returning favorites, some legendary performers, and several new offerings that I think people will really enjoy." ticket packages tailored to particular interests are available.
Great Lakes Performing Arts (GLAPA)
In 1983, a group of interested community members and community education personnel met to form the Greater Lakes Area Performing Arts. This group has been providing entertainment for the Lakes Area ever since. Greater Lakes Performing Arts (GLAPA) is responsible for setting a season of performances, soliciting season ticket sales, and raising funds to underwrite programs, if necessary. GLAPA has an active membership of 120 plus season ticket holders who enjoy a theatre and arts season of visitng performers, touring theatre show, and guest artists, as well as the Pequot Lakes Community Theatre programs.
