Ice Rink Locations
If you’re looking for a fun way to get outdoors this winter in Brainerd, Minnesota, consider visiting one of the ice rinks located in the city parks. Both the cities of Baxter and Brainerd operate and maintain ice rinks that are free and open to the public. These locations are staffed during certain days of the week but when the warming houses aren’t open you may skate but at your own risk.
Brainerd Ice Rink Locations:
- Mill Avenue—located at 1401 Mill Avenue, Brainerd, MN 56401
- Gregory Park—located at 511 N 5th St, Brainerd, MN 56401
- Bane Park—located at 1701-1799 S 7th St, Brainerd, MN 56401
Brainerd Ice Rink Hours:
- Monday-Friday 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Saturday 12 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Sunday 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Bane Park Pond Hockey Rink will be reserved 6:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m. Tuesdays for Adult 4 on 4 Pond Hockey.
Mill Avenue Pond Hockey Rink will be reserved 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Saturdays for Youth Pond Hockey.
The special hours listed below are for Mill Avenue, Gregory Park & Bane Park:
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day – Monday, January 20, 2020
- All warming houses will be open 12 p.m. – 8 p.m.
- Valentine’s Day Skating Party – Saturday, February 15, 2020
- Gregory Park 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Presidents’ Day – Monday, February 17, 2020
- All warming houses will be open 12 p.m. – 8 p.m.

- Oscar Kristofferson Park—located at 5672 Baxter Lions Rd N, Baxter, MN 56425
- Loren Thompson Park—located at 13015 Kingwood Dr S, Baxter, MN 56425
Baxter Ice Rink Hours:
- Monday-Friday 3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- Starting hours will vary on the weekends.
