Birds observed this past week in the Brainerd Lakes area includes: Sandhill Crane, Great-blue Heron, Green Heron, Great Egret, Common Loon, Mallard, Ring-billed Gull, Trumpeter Swan, Canada Goose, Hooded Merganser, Common Merganser, Double-crested Cormorant, Purple Martin, Cliff Swallow, Tree Swallow, Eastern Bluebird, Raven, Whip-poor-Will, Cooper’s Hawk, Red-tailed Hawk, Turkey Vulture, Bald Eagle, Osprey, Cedar Waxwing, Brown Thrasher, Gray Catbird, Red-eyed Vireo, House Wren, Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Baltimore Oriole, Northern Cardinal, Indigo Bunting, Eastern Towhee, Chestnut-sided Warbler, Yellow Warbler, Peregrine Falcon, Golden-winged Warbler, Song Sparrow, Vesper Sparrow, Chipping Sparrow, Killdeer, Wild Turkey, Belted Kingfisher, Ruby-throated Hummingbird, Pileated Woodpecker, Red-bellied Woodpecker, American Goldfinch, House Finch, Clay-colored Sparrow, Barn Swallow, Eastern Phoebe and Wood Pewee!
