Brainerd, MN—For several years local military and service clubs have worked together to host a Thanksgiving Day Free Community Meal. More than 1,500 meals will be prepared on Nov. 24, 2022, for delivery and pick-up. Deliveries will be made from 9:00–10:30 a.m. by the Baxter Police Department, Brainerd Fire Department, Brainerd Police Department and Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Department. A drive-by pick-up option will be available at the Brainerd American Legion, located at 708 Front Street in Dowtown Brainerd, from 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
This event is sponsored by the Brainerd American Legion, the Brainerd VFW, the Brainerd Eagles and the Brainerd Elks. There are sign-up sheets at all four organizations. You can also call the Legion at 218-829-2249 to place your order.
