2021 Lumberjack Jaunt
January 29 - January 31
In its 47th year, the 2021 Brainerd Nordic Ski Club’s Lumberjack Jaunt will be an Open Track/Virtual event on January 29-31. The 8 km course at the Northland Arboretum will be marked and available to ski over these three days, or ski at whatever venue is best for you.
Ski distances of 8, 16, or 32 km, skate or classic techniques. Ski one lap (8 km), ski two laps for 16 km, or four laps for 32 km. Ski classic technique, or skate, or do your own skiathlon. After your virtual ski, try to ski 50 km, or even ski 100 km. Wear lumberjack apparel or an old race bid when you ski your Jaunt.
Race Details
❄ Classic Distances – 8 km, 16 km, or 32 km
❄ Skate Distances – 8 km, 16 km, or 32 km
❄ Free Kids Distance – 400m loop with as many laps as they’d like for age
❄ Although there are no awards this year, some friendly competition can still be had
❄ Wear lumberjack apparel or an old race bid when you ski your Jaunt
