Meet our featured Member Artist, Bev Abear. Bev rediscovered her love for art after retiring as a secondary English teacher. She found Forest Road Art Studio in Deerwood, MN, and studied sketching and watercolor painting there. Over the years she has studied under a number of great artists and has learned many techniques and principles of artistic expression that she has put towards the growth of her own art practice. Bev enjoys taking pictures while camping or just driving in the countryside, and using those images for subjects and inspiration for her work. She says that, “For me, the creative journey begins with really seeing the colors and shapes that make up our beautiful world in central Minnesota.” View some of her pieces on display, talk with her, and learn more about the process for creating her artwork.
10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
