Keeping the kids busy will be a breeze with the activities that are happening this weekend!

‘Young At Art’, is an annual exhibition showcasing the work of students from local schools. This lively exhibit is floor to ceiling color and exploration and gives young artists a chance to have their work exhibited in a “real gallery”, and a special chance for arts enthusiasts to show their support for our budding artists.

If your child has a desire to be creative themselves, there are a couple of options for hands-on activities. The Traveling Art Pub offers to guide your child through multiple themed art projects while encouraging them to explore their creative side in a safe and colorful environment, all while giving you some time to do whatever it is that you want to do. And don’t forget to pick up your creativity kit at the Crossing Arts! This month’s kits have two art projects (Maracas and Paper Plate Tambourines), a coloring sheet, and more! These kits are free and limited, so get there early to ensure a kit for each child in your family.

Want to dive into a new book this weekend? The Brainerd Public Library is having a book sale! Pre-registration is required, and you will be limited to a one hour shopping time limit. They have a room filled with all kinds of books – you’re sure to find one to fit your interests.

Beer, BBQ & Burgers? Oh, absolutely! You can find all three of these things at Jack Pine Brewery over the weekend. Enjoy Smokey Jake’s BBQ on April 9 and Burgers & Fries from the Skol Food Truck on April 11. YUM!

Please check with local businesses and attractions individually for the latest COVID-19 related policy updates and hours of operation before you venture out.
