Snowmobile Trails:

Crow Wing County Snowmobile Trails Association Clubs 2/21/22: The Brainerd Lakes Area has picked up about 8” of new snow with another 8” to 10” coming. Use caution if riding the trails and be careful of fallen limbs or trees. Please use extreme caution on the lakes, though frozen they are never completely safe. Lots of snow does not give you permission to go onto private property – NO TRESPASSING!

The Crow Wing County Trail Association group ride has been moved to NEXT Wednesday, March 2.

Brainerd Snodeos maintain and groom 107 miles of trail from Brainerd to Riverton, to Crow Wing State Park, to Harding and towards Garrison.

2/20/22: We were out last night as a team working on the corners, pulling from the high sides, and filling in the bare spots! The trails are looking great and looking to be even better come this week! Keep up the snow dances!

Gull Lake Drifters

2/22/22: No updated trail report found.

Merrifield Marathons

2/22/22: Today’s Dinner Ride (2/22/22) is looking a little chilly but with a lot of new snow out there (woo hoo!). Let’s leave the clubhouse at 5pm and head up to the Cedar Chest. The Merri Trail should be a blast!

Baxter Snowmobile Club groom weekly on Monday Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

2/21/22: Well, the trail conditions sure have been freshened up today! More to come overnight and throughout the day tomorrow!

Ski Trails:

There are many ski trails in the Brainerd Lakes Area; many of which are groomed Grant-In-Aid funded trails. To “legally” ski any GIA funded trail, cross country/Nordic skiers aged 16 years and older must purchase a MN Ski Pass. A non-pass holder can be sited by any Conservation Officer if caught on these trails without a pass. The Annual and 3-Year passes can be purchased at any ELS (Electronic Licensing Station) station (if they sell fishing licenses, etc., they will sell ski passes) and the Daily can be purchased from a variety of non-ELS providers. The Northland Arboretum is one provider in our area that sells the daily pass.

A significant storm has brought 10-12” of snow to the area on 2/21/22 and the snow continues to fall. Trail groomers will be out when conditions allow.
