Birds observed this past week in the Brainerd Lakes area include: Turkey Vulture, American Kestrel, Coopers Hawk, Red-tailed Hawk, Osprey, Bald Eagle, Great-blue Heron, Barn Swallow, Cliff Swallow, Tree Swallow, Eastern Bluebird, House Wren, Ring-billed Gull, Green Heron, Mallard, Canada Goose, Woodduck, Hooded Merganser, Common Loon, Double-crested Cormorant, Purple Martin, Brown Thrasher, Eastern Towhee, Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Raven, Red-breasted Nuthatch, Baltimore Oriole, Gray Catbird, Ruby-throated Hummingbird, Indigo Bunting, Mourning Dove, Northern Flicker, Red-bellied Sapsucker, Whip-poor-Will, Common Nighthawk, House Finch, American Goldfinch, Clay-colored Sparrow, Song Sparrow, Chipping Sparrow, Red-winged Blackbird, Starling and American Redstart, Happy Birding!
