Judd Brink is a local guide and naturalist who provides a weekly birding report during the spring bird migration, the summer nesting season, and the fall bird migration for Visit Brainerd. This is the 12th season Judd has provided birding reports about the Brainerd Lakes Area in Central Minnesota.

Birds Spotted in the Brainerd Area:

Bay-breasted Warbler, Chestnut-sided Warbler, Nashville Warbler, American Redstart, Tennessee Warbler, Yellow Warbler, Orange-crowned Warbler, Scarlet Tanager, Baltimore Oriole, Ruby-throated Hummingbird, Red-headed Woodpecker, Northern Flicker, Pileated Woodpecker, Eastern Towhee, Barn Swallow, Common Nighthawk, Eastern Bluebird, Cedar Waxwing, Red-breasted Nuthatch, Wild Turkey, Northern Cardinal, Belted Kingfisher, Turkey Vulture, Red-tailed Hawk, Bald Eagle, Broad-winged Hawk, Red-winged Blackbird, Common Grackle, House Finch, American Goldfinch, Eastern Phoebe, Common Raven, Brown Thrasher, Common Loon, Ring=billed Gull, Trumpeter Swan, Hooded Merganser, Woodduck, Sandhill Crane, Song Sparrow and Barred Owl.
