Judd Brink is a local guide and naturalist who provides a weekly birding report during the spring bird migration, the summer nesting season, and the fall bird migration for Visit Brainerd. This is the 12th season Judd has provided birding reports about the Brainerd Lakes Area in Central Minnesota.

Birds Spotted in the Brainerd Area:

American White Pelican, Common Loon, Trumpeter Swan, Canada Goose, Mallard, Hooded Merganser, Woodduck, Belted Kingfisher, Ring-neck Duck, Ring-billed Gull, Bald Eagle, Turkey Vulture, Red-tailed Hawk, American Kestrel, Cooper’s Hawk, Sharp-shinned Hawk, Broad-winged Hawk, Common Raven, Northern Flicker, Red-belled Woodpecker, Gray Catbird, Eastern Towhee, Eastern Bluebird, Pileated Woodpecker, Yellow-rumped Warbler, Wild Turkey, Chipping Sparrow, Song Sparrow, Red-winged Blackbird, Common Grackle, Northern Cardinal, House Finch, American Goldfinch, Sandhill Crane, Cedar Waxwing, Eastern Phoebe, Mourning Dove, American Redstart and Nashville Warbler.
