This weekly fishing report features multiple lakes in the Brainerd Lakes Area located in central Minnesota. It’s provided by Nate Berg Fishing Guides.
The species doesn’t matter, the fishing remains hot. Walleyes are on fire on Gull, North Long, Round, and nearly all the small lakes that are stocked. Panfish are easy finds with bluegills actively feeding all day and crappies having the best bites during the lower light periods. Bass continue to bite. They have been actively schooling near pencil reeds and dense mats of weeds. Northern pike are still fairly deep and can be taken with sucker minnows or trolling in deep weeds anywhere from 15-30 feet.
