This weekly fishing report features multiple lakes in the Brainerd Lakes Area located in central Minnesota. It’s provided by Nate Berg Fishing Guides.
Walleyes continue to bite very well and on multiple presentations all over the area. There is still a very good weed line bite happening trolling small crank baits, blades or slow death rigs on Gull, North Long, Alexander and many smaller lakes. Some fish are starting to school up on mid lake structures and live bait rigging crawlers pumped with air and jigging raps have been the ticket.
Bass are either under docks or deep and very hungry. Bluegills can be found on any tip of a point. Crappies are still fairly nocturnal but some day time action is starting to take place with them suspending off of deep structure. The pike bite has slowed a bit with the best action trolling sucker minnows just off the weed lines.
