The mission of the Ski Loons – a 501(c)(3) educational entity – is to provide opportunities for personal development, teamwork, and community involvement through water sports. Our goals are to instruct members in the disciplines of show skiing while building character, confidence, and self-esteem. Show skiing provides a way for people to have fun and perform, while also gaining valuable life experience through teamwork and challenging activities.
Our team provides a unique opportunity for our youth to work side by side with community members of all ages to achieve a common goal. This is an aspect that is not commonly found among youth team sports and we believe it adds value to our community. This is one of many things that the Ski Loons bring to Brainerd. Cooperation across a large age spectrum will help prepare our youth to be great community members in the future.
This last summer we were able to perform four free shows to over 1800 people! We are making a name for ourselves in the community. We have received so many positive reviews from people about what we are bringing to the Brainerd Lakes Area.
