Captain Tim Hanske was born and raised in the Brainerd Lakes Area. He currently lives in Baxter, MN with his wife Kaarin, and their two boys Gus and Levi. He has been fishing Gull Lake, Leech Lake, Mille Lacs Lake, Whitefish, North Long, and many other his entire life. Becoming a Fishing Guide was only natural for Tim, and at the age of 17 years old, he took his first guide trip. 15+ years later, Capt. Tim Hanske has been fishing every possible chance he can! Hanske prides himself as a multi-species guide chasing walleyes, smallmouth, largemouth, and muskies. He is also an avid fly fisherman/guide, family man, special education teacher, and a Licensed United States Coast Guard Captain.
Capt. Hanske is a Minnesota Fishing Guide and a Multi-Species Fishing Guide that has over 16 years of professionally guiding experience. Two of his favorite lakes to be a fishing guide on are Leech Lake and Mille Lacs Lake. Hanske has been a fishing guide for Walleyes, Muskies, and for Smallmouth and Largemouth bass. He also enjoys being a Fly Fishing Guide on Mille Lacs Lake and other Minnesota waters. Tim enjoys his time on the water with his customers and understand how to have a fun filled and productive day of fishing.
