Local fiber artist, Karen DeVries, returns to Crossing Arts to teach another exciting fabric-dyeing technique: ice-dyeing! In this two-hour class, Karen will lead students in dyeing two cotton dish towels using ice and powdered dyes. As the ice melts overnight, the dye will dissolve into the water to create beautiful, unpredictable patterns in your finished fabric! Finished pieces can be picked up at Crossing Arts on Saturday, September 28th.
What to bring:
-Apron or clothes you don’t mind getting dye on
-Gloves (Size medium medical gloves will be available at Crossing Arts)
-A mask for safety when working with powdered dyes.
The registration fee for this course is $35, which includes
