Restorative Yoga Gathering
December 18 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
| $15Join Natalie for this 90-minute gathering that will focus on rest, and reducing stress by practicing breathwork, meditation, restorative yoga and more.
***PLEASE: make sure to arrive a minimum of 5 -10 minutes early to allow time for setting up so that class can begin on time. If you are going to be late, please do not attend.
We will continue with the theme of the Yamas, which are restraints or moral vows to live by. This month’s Yama is Asteya, a Sanskrit word meaning “non-stealing”.
Restorative yoga is done with props (bolsters, straps, blocks, etc.) to help achieve a more relaxing position. Poses are held longer than conventional yoga poses with the goal of relaxing the body and mind. Though this type of yoga may not challenge a practitioner’s strength or flexibility the way conventional yoga does, it challenges one’s ability to stay present and release tension from the body.
It is recommended to bring a pillow or cushion, along with your yoga mat and a blanket. Limited mats and blankets are available at the studio on a first come first serve basis.
Fee is $15 or class packs are available. This class is also included in monthly memberships.
