  • Boys-N-Berries Farm: Family-run hobby farm with more than 10-acres of pumpkins, apples, greenhouse and more. Come and pick-your-own pumpkins of all shapes, sizes and colors. More information available on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/boysnberries/
  • Country Sunshine: Family-run hobby farm hosting fall farm market days, pumpkins, patio planters, mums, gourds, apples, straw bales, corn stalks and fresh cut flowers all available.   • Fall Arts & Crafts Festival: Shop 75+ handmade artists and crafters or participate in free make & take workshops. The festival is on Saturday, Oct. 14, from 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. at the Brainerd High School. Admission is free and a schedule of workshops can be found here.
  • Halloween Cookie Decorating Workshop: Enjoy the fun of sugar cookie decorating without all of the prep work or clean up by attending a walk-in Halloween cookie workshop at Knotty Pine Bakery. Stop in between 10:00 a.m.—2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14, and get a set of Halloween-themed cookies, then have fun decorating with frosting and sprinkles in the classroom space. Cost is $14/set and includes 4 cookies plus decorating supplies and a take-home box. No registration required.
  • Haunted Hidden Hollows: Central Minnesota’s Largest Haunted Attraction, Hidden Hollows will scare the yell out of you. There is a Haunted Corn Maze, Haunted House and Tractor Ride; the experiences are re-designed every year, so they haunt experience is never the same.   • Haunted Trail: Walk the spooky, scary trails at the Northland Arboretum. With low scare, high scare, and insane scare options, there’s certainly enough fun for everyone. New themes are added each year; the artistry and creativity won’t disappoint, and the terrifying trails will make your hair stand on end. Trail ends with games, treats and concessions. Open Oct. 19, 20 and 21 from 7:00–9:00 p.m. There is a $5 discount for tickets purchased in advance on the Arboretum’s website. More information available online.
  • Purple Fern DIY Glow-in-the-Dark Soap Making: Need a fun kid’s activity? Stop into Purple Fern anytime between 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. October 19–21 (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) to make your own Glow-in-the-Dark Bug Soap! All of the supplies to make this creepy, crawly bar of soap are provided. Each project is $10 and includes all supplies and instruction. We even have yummy treats for everyone taking part!
