More than 10 Ways to Get in on Some Game Night Fun in Brainerd, MN
As the weather cools down and we head indoors, here are some ideas for game night fun in Brainerd/Baxter.
  •  Bingo
    • CC’s Bar hosts Bingo every Sunday at 4 p.m.
    • Jack Pine Brewery offers “Jingo” one Thursday out of the month from 7:00–9:00 p.m., check their calendar of events for future dates.
    • Roundhouse Brewery has Xtreme Music Bingo on a couple Wednesdays out of the month starting at 600 p.m., to see future dates head to their calendar of events.
    • The Side Track hosts bingo every first Saturday of the month between May–November from 1:00–4:00 p.m.
  • Board Games
    • Dragon Forge is retail shop that specializes in table-top games & accessories. They provide a fun and creative space for playing games and host specialty game nights, events and leagues.
  •  Cribbage
    • Jack Pine Brewery offers Monday night singles cribbage from 6:00-9:00 p.m.  A $5.00 buy-in gets you a chance at cash prizes and free beer. No league dedication for multiple weeks of play needed, a new bracket will be built each Monday based on the number of players who show. Starting in January Jack Pine Brewery will be hosting a doubles tournament that runs the whole month. Registration will be on the first Monday of the month and the fee will be $10; players are asked to return every Monday to play fresh brackets. At the end of the month there is a winner with percentage based cash prizes paid out to the top three teams.
  • Curling

  • Initials Game
    • Trivia Mafia has partnered with the creators of The Initials Game—famously played every Friday on KFAN’s “Power Trip Morning Show”—to bring this addictive trivia game to Jack Pine Brewery every Tuesday from 7:00-10:00 p.m. The Initials Game Live is a fun and competitive general knowledge and pop culture party game for players of all skill levels. Gather your friends and test your wits as you try to guess the initials of famous people, places, and things.
  • Pool
    • CC’s Bar has a 9 ball Pool Tournament every Saturday starting at 2 p.m.
    • The Parlor hosts a 15 week pool league every Wednesday from 7:00-8:00 p.m., sign-ups are at 6:00 p.m. and there is a 20 person maximum. There will be a “luck of the draw” bracket and single elimination. To learn more about the league, check out their Facebook.
    • Yesterday’s Gone hosts FREE pool every Thursday from 6:00-11:00 p.m. All player levels are welcome and everyone gets equal playing time.
  • Texas Hold ‘Em Tournaments
    • The Brainerd Lakes Area Poker League hosts FREE Texas Hold ‘Em Tournaments at different locations every Monday from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Check their website for upcoming events.

    • Jack Pine Brewery plays a themed Trivia Mafia a few Tuesdays out of the month; find upcoming dates check out their calendar of events.
    • Roundhouse Brewery hosts Trivia Mafia every Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
