Country Sunshine is located about 12 miles South of Brainerd and offers many workshops and products year-round. If you visit Country Sunshine in the spring or summer you can find greenhouses full of annuals, perennials, hanging baskets, shrubs, herbs and vegetables. Experience a ‘Cut Your Own Flower’ field and create a beautiful bouquet to take home with you or stroll through a beautiful sunflower field! Garden vegetable seeds, goat milk soap, and pre-cut flowers are also available. Year round, they offer workshops such as DIY Everlasting Wreaths, Porch Pot classes and Succulent Container workshops. Boys N Berries Farm located four miles South of Brainerd is a family run hobby farm and greenhouse. They provide seasonal produce including fresh picked asparagus, sweet corn, tomatoes, and strawberries. This is the place to be on a fall day as they can help you will your fall decorating needs! Choose from a variety of various sized pumpkins in the pumpkin patch or gourds, corn shocks and straw bales to complete your décor. In the spring they offer annual bedding plants, hanging flower baskets with a wide variety of herb plants.
Erickson’s Greenhouse in Brainerd is a locally owned and operated greenhouse that specializes in a wide variety of high-quality perennials, annuals, hanging flower baskets, and planters, along with herb and vegetable plants. The greenhouse is open year round but be sure to call ahead for off season hours. Ericksons Greenhouse also offers holiday products such as Christmas trees, wreaths and poinsettias. Landsburgs Landscape Nursery North on 371 will help you with your landscape and garden needs from the planning and installation to the maintenance needs. Moonlight Nursery, located East of Brainerd on Highway 210 offers a variety of products such as seasonal yard décor, hanging baskets, vegetable packs and shrubs. They have also added reclaimed wood products such as outside furniture and games and custom laser engraved products, along with cement statuary.
Another great place to take in spring is the Northland Arboretum. The Northland Arboretum offers many seasonal classes. Whether you want to learn more about pruning your trees, gardening, phenology, or different plants, the Arboretum has a class for it!
