Join Paul and Babe—the Big Blue Pig—for a fun ride on the Paul Bunyan State Trail. The fun starts and ends at the Paul Bunyan Trailhead DNR Parking Lot (near the Northland Arboretum) in Baxter/Brainerd, Minnesota. You will ride 45 miles with friends visiting the trail towns of Merrifield, Nisswa and Pequot Lakes with BACON STOPS along. Plus lots of cold Minnesota craft beer and drinks to wash it down. There is a bacon-themed breakfast at the ride start, a bacon-themed lunch in Pequot Lakes, and several other bacon stops along the way. Registration includes the food, drink specials and a custom t-shirt. Packet pick-up on Friday evening and the ride starts bright and early Saturday morning. Advanced registration online is required.
The trailhead is located on Excelsior Road. From the intersection of State Highway 210 and the State Highway 371 bypass in Baxter, go north one block to Excelsior Road, then go east 3/4 mile to Conservation Drive; the parking lot is on the left.
