These regulations apply to the body of water Mille Lacs Lake & all tributaries from the mouth upstream to posted boundaries.
Fish Species
Northern Pike: Beginning December 1, 2019 through March 31, 2020, the possession limit is five. Two northern pike less than 30″ must be harvested from Mille Lacs Lake, by the same angler, before one longer than 30″ may be harvested. Only one northern pike over 30″ is allowed in possession.
Smallmouth Bass: Beginning December 1, 2019 through February 23, 2020, the possession limit for smallmouth Bass is zero. All fish caught must be immediately released.
Tullibee (Cisco): Possession limit 10.
Walleye: Beginning December 1, 2019 through February 23, 2020, the possession limit for walleye is one. All walleye in possession must be from 21″ to 23″ in length, inclusive, or over 28″ in length. All walleye less than 21″ or greater than 23″ in length must be immediately released, except that one over 28″ is allowed in possession.
